Chosen 1 Generation basketball training skill development program specializes in developing skilled and confident athletes of all ages. We offer programs year-round to help young athletes bring their game to a new level through professional instruction on the basic basketball fundamentals (shooting form, ball-handling, rebounding, etc.) as well as advanced offensive and defensive moves. We offer private session, small group and team training. Each session is specialized to focus on the athlete or group preferred skills area.
A typical training session will include:
Emphasis on staying balance, squaring of the shoulders to the basket, proper footwork & getting a perfect release, backspin, & follow through.
Quicker and stronger moves to create separation from defenders. Emerging confidence in attacking the basket using the weak-hand dribble.
Using the body to screen off defenders, draw contact and still focus on the rim, using shot fakes to get defenders up in the air and out of position. Many of these drills will include contact from blocking shield to emulate a live defender.
Using jab-steps, shot fakes, spin moves, hop-backs and other offensive moves to create openings to get a shot off.
Plyometric exercises, drills to create a quick first step & improve lateral movement, and explosive vertical leap training.
